Knowledge and Technology Transfer in FE

Technology transfer requires different kinds of knowledge: that which creates the technology, that which operates it, and that concerning the technology�s value and quality. So any successful technology transfer also requires some form (or forms) of knowledge transfer for various stakeholders. At present, much of the focus around Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) falls upon the higher education sector. Research from the New Engineering Foundation (NEF) illustrates that the oft-neglected further education sector is a ready source of KTT. Further Education (FE) colleges are responsible for much of the actual and potential supply of technology skills.
